“Sho
En, King of Ryukyu” is coming to the Kennedy Center !

The Tamagusuku Ryu / Shosetsu Michiko no Kai of Okinawa will be performing the beautiful and elegant dance drama “Sho En, King of Ryukyu” in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater.
The play told entirely with dances is the saga of Kanemaru, a rice farmer in the 15th Century who rises above hardship to become King of Ryukyu. The magical evening will be filled with dynamic and beautiful dances of Okinawa … a specially choreographed kumi-udui -- an art form designated as a “Cultural Treasure of Japan” … elegant kimonos and dramatic scenery …

Master Folta will try to get a block of tickets so that our school can sit together. He needs to know the number of tickets that each of you wants for this exceptional performance. Email you commitment by Saturday, March 13 and I'll purchase your tickets in person at the Kennedy Center ticket office
